Brethren ebijack (Tom) sent his catfish coating recipe to me awhile back and I got the chance to try it out on my last camp out at the lake.
Really loved the stuff.. Thanks so much Tom!!

I caught a few catfish and wanted to cook some up one night. Really didn't feel like hush puppies or tatoes, so I went with okra that I had brought from the garden.

Thanks so much for your recipe ebijack, it's a keeper!!
I didn't post ebijack's recipe, I'll let him do that if he wishes.

Thanks for looking!

Once again, absolutely delicious looking plate of food that "I thought" could only come from the deep south. Carolinas, Ga., Bama, Louisiana, Mississippi probably Texas. You ladies from Oklahoma definitely know the secret. Or maybe I should just get out more. Thanks for sharing your day at the lake.

Thank you Rocky Branch, that is quite a nice compliment! Mom was a southern belle, my "family" is in Louisiana and Mississippi. I tried to pay attention when she cooked.
Thanks so much!

Looks great Cowgirl! I hope Ebijack posts the recipe.

Jack

Thank you Jack! His recipe is delicious, I usually just use a simple cornmeal, cayenne, salt, pepper, flour coating but this was nice.

Just came home and I'm hungry. This doesn't help at all. :becky:

Great job Neighbor!

Thanks Neighbor! Too late for leftovers but I have lots of catfish stashed away in the freezer. I'll holler next time I fry up a batch. :biggrin1:

Is it OK if I just eat that DYNAMITE looking catfish?? I hate okra.

Although I can hear my brother hollering at me to give him my portion as he flipping loves him some okra.
