Using up some of last season's whitetail deer.
This photo is from when I processed the deer...
seasoned some of the cubed meat then rolled in flour...
gave it a quick browning...
sauteed some onions and garlic in the drippings...
Then added my venison, beef stock, a couple pinches of marjoram, basil and thyme, and a good cup or so of Crown. I couldn't find my regular bourbon.
hydrated a few morels from last spring..
used the drum for this...
added olive oil, seasoned tatoes too.
I just let er go til the gravy thickens and the venison is tender...
baked a skillet of bread while the meat cooked..
made a garlic, scallion, butter sauce for the tatoes..
added cubed, smoked tatoes...
That's pretty much it.
buck n bourbon, smoked, garlic smooshed tatoes and hot bread.
I had a tiny sip of Crown too.
Nothing fancy!
I don't really know what to call this stuff. I make it often, it's sort of a comfort meal for me.
Thanks for looking!
