Looking back over the last week or two, I would trade all my cooks for a bacon biscuit with gravy.
I'm going to have to figure out a trade with Adams. Maybe he could just fed ex any leftovers my way. :-DYou want those biscuits don't you :heh:
Thank you!! :-DThey look awful!
I'd line em up and snort those things right off the plate. Super cook!:-D
Thanks Ron! I usually make these while camping but had a hankerin' for them. :-DYou had me at bacon, but the biscuits and gravy were just, well, gravy. Never seen them done like that, but as awesome as any I have ever seen.
Thanks Neil! I'd share if I could. :thumb:I'd pay good money just to smell that breakfast cooking! :thumb::thumb::clap::clap:
The next best thing to camping is home camping!
Looks mighty fine there neighbor! :clap2::clap2::clap2:
WOW, your cooking always impresses the hell outa me. Great job.
Deeeelicious Jeanie! Let know if you need help thinning out some of those turkey's! :becky:
I make these almost every camp trip. Not sure why I don't make them often at home, they are one of my favorites.Maybe I'm a big dummy, but I've never heard of/thought of cooking the biscuits in the gravy like that.
Thank you Bob!"Saved" ("Stolen", to be honest)
Looks incredible. I've never seen that, but will do it for sure.
Thanks Jeanie!

Thank you Bob!
I make the gravy on the thin side. It thickens while the biscuits are cookin'.
Good luck with it!
That's very good information, thank you! :becky:
I don't think I've seen biscuits and gravy made like that - I'm loving it! That's a very cool way to go with that, Jeanie, and it looks amazing. Thanks for posting!
Jeanie,
That would be one of my favorite breakfasts anywhere.
Nicely done!
I do love biscuits and gravy. You sure took these up a few notches, they look amazing Jeanie.
Thanks for posting Jeanie! Looks and reads wonderfulHaven't had the chance to go camping yet this spring. Had to make these at home. This is one of my favorite campfire breakfasts.
Fried some bacon and made biscuits..
Added home canned lard to the dry ingredients...
Rolled out the biscuit dough, brushed with bacon drippings and topped with crisp bacon pieces...
rolled and sliced the biscuits...
Set the tire rim up in the yard. The tractor rim was not needed, this small rim blocks the wind well.
Browned some spicy sausage..
Added flour, seasonings...
milk and let er simmer til thickened.
made the gravy on the thin side...it thickens while the biscuits cook.
Placed the bacon biscuits on top...
Topped with some heat and let er go for 25 minutes or so..
Turkeys have been thick around here this spring..
That's it. Bacon biscuits sittin' on sausage gravy..
It's still one of my favorite camp breakfasts but tasted pretty good at home this time.
Sorry for so many pics, thanks for looking!
