Biscuits n Gravy

Another camp cook. I make this often, it's easy to fix and friends seem to enjoy it.

Gettin the fire going while making the biscuits.

I couldn't find my rolling pin in the camp supplies, so I improvised

slathered with bacon drippin's, sprinkled with crisp bacon.

Made my gravy...

browned the sausage over the fire...

added flour, seasonings and lastly milk..

plopped my biscuits on top...

shoveled some hot coals on top of the lid and sat back.

after about 25 minutes, breakfast was ready!

I let the pot sit a bit, the gravy is like hot molten lava. lol

The mimosa was a barter item. Someone gave it to me for some fresh eggs. I hadn't had it before, it was pretty tasty!

It went pretty well with the biscuit dipped in gravy.

I know I make this pretty often. It's an easy, quick meal when I don't really feel like cooking. :laugh:

Your friends are never going to leave if you keep feeding them like that. Heck, we are all just hanging around waiting for your next cook post, and you never disappoint! Great looking cook and great setting for it.
