Another camp breakfast...

I make these a lot when camping. I like the way the chops catch the smoke.

Got the fire going in the tractor rim..

I love the way the chops crisp up over the fire and catch the smoke flavor. Adds a little something special to the meal. :)

Thanks for looking at another camp breakfast!

Looks great, I do have to ask about the eggs; are those fried in butter or something else? It would be nice to know.

Thanks,
FatCoyote

Thank you FatCoyote,
I fry them in butter and use a large spoon to baste the tops of the eggs with the hot butter. I can control how "cooked" I want the tops. I like mine more "sunny side up" but some of my friends like them cooked hard.

Bob thank you!!! :)

.

You can do more fantastic things on that rim than most people could in a gourmet kitchen. Fantastic as always.

I had a nice big bowl of Brunswick stew a couple of hours ago, now I'm craving one of those chops! It all looks delicious, but a good pork chop is my favorite grille food.

Did you brine the chops B4 you floured and dredged them? They look very juicy.

I will trade you 2 butts I am cooking now for a plate!:thumb:

I want a plate now so bad. Yes now. Looks absolutely delicious Jeanie.

That looks wonderful! There ain't nothing like nutty roux taste of the crust you get from panfrying in cast iron. Top it off with a hint of smoke and extra crisping, and I might die of gluttony!

However, I think I would have to go back to bed if I ate that for breakfast. You aren't fooling me with the fruit.

Thank you Marty!

Thanks so much, your stew sounds delicious!!
I didn't brine the chops. Sometimes I like to give them a quick one hour cure with tenderquick but I wasn't awake enough to do that this time.

That sounds like a great trade, I'd be getting the better end of that deal! :becky: Thank you!

 I actually ate the fruit this time. Couldn't eat but half of the chop and one egg but I ate the fruit. Thank you Guest!

OMG - Can I have Breakfast with you!

The sear on the chops looks great and yes the yokes have to be runny

That old tractor wheel has made some dayum good food!

Well done again!

That looks like the breakfast I've been looking for all over Arizona! Sure am glad you added that little strawberry for health!

that is a country style breakfast anyone would be happy to wake up to. Great job.

Fantastic job over a campfire Jeanie, most could do it that well in a modern kitchen!
:clap2:

I'd Hit dat anywhere, anytime-no questions asked. Dang that is fine!!!
