Quail and Venison Backstrap Steak on the Fire

Thank you Troy and Castlepines!

Serious skills there Jeanie!

And cooking skills aside, it really looks like a downright pleasant way to spend the day/night - just fantastic! :clap2:
Greg thanks! Not sure if skills were involved, but thanks, I did have fun! :becky:

So who were all the blessed camping recipients of that incredible chow?!
Thanks Keith, I've got some pretty nice friends. Sometimes I try to sneak off without them but when one hears that I'm going camping, the word spreads and several show up. I got caught packing for this trip. :-D lol
I'm not complaining though. Can't have too many friends. :thumb:

dport, it sounds like you had a great childhood! Water and outdoor cooking... just love the combo. Thanks!

Your welcome and your right, it was a great childhood that spilled over into
adulthood. My children and now my grandchildren are living that dream.

We have a two and a half acre pond on our property that gets well used
by all, fishin swimin, cookin on the water, such a blessing.

Keep up the pics of your adventures, I sure do like them.

That sounds great dport!! Also great that you are passing the love of the outdoors to your grandchildren.
I was taught by my parents too. :thumb:
Thanks again!

Very nice looking meal!! I haven't had backstraps in...well since last season. In a few more weeks hopefully that will change!!

Thank you Tony, Garrett and Ross!

Garrett, good luck with your hunt. :thumb:
