Again, a big Brethren thanks to Brian (ETOH) for his valuable time and energy in helping all of us (me included) in getting a smokin' deal on a great product. I received notification that mine will be here tomorrow which equates to 4 business days from order to delivery. I'm looking forward to what everyone will be cranking out on these.

The floor model is still available at one of my local stores for $100, but I'm too stubborn to give in just yet after all these great deals I'm seeing here! Though I'm beginning to think it's not worth the $25 difference :loco:

Any cover made for a Weber kettle will fit quite well on the BS Oven, with the side shelves removed. I put them inside the oven, on top of some cardboard. I prefer to store without side shelves on, saves a lot of space.

I have the factory cover, and do not think it is worth the price. While it is made well, the material fades in the sun like no other cover I've had, and I have LOTS of covers.

Weber kettle covers are made by Weber in multiple quality levels, as well as aftermarket manufacturers in all price ranges. I have some poly covers that I bought at Kmart end of season sale that were <$3.

You should have to have the BS Griddle and the BS Oven to be part of the "Blackstone Posse", because the BS Griddle is equally as awesome as the BS Oven.

Congratulations to all the new BS owners, and Bravo to all Brethren who helped facilitate the discount purchases, well done!

Insane amount of info about the BS Oven on Pizzamaking.com, where you will find many Brethren already posting. http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=25127.0

+1

Very good points Dave. I had a BS cover on my griddle and in faded almost immediately. I thought it was a lemon so they replaced it and the new cover faded again in less than a month. At that point I knew the coating on them sucked. Cover is great just wish the coating was half as good.

For the BS oven, I scored a Vision Kamado cover for $10 on Cl and it fits like a glove without the side shelves. It works for me since I don't use the side shelves at all. The weber covers would work great as well as stated.

BS oven is the tall one in the middle. Note the faded cover on the griddle.

Good info on the covers! Mine BS has been in the garage so far so my cover is still black :-D I plan on moving it to the back deck once I can find the deck again  so I'll probably experience the fading.

I'm glad to see that someone is using the oven without the shelves. I have min on right now but I never use them for anything so I was thinking of taking them off too.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like they're big enough to really use them for anything when making pizza.

I went shelfless also. Just to save room since I had a table. I was actually thinking of doing a bigger table and not even using the supports at all. Maybe just set the unit itself on the table.

I think that is a superb idea. Something along the lines of the gorgeous custom units some of the guys make for the ceramic cookers. A large amount of real estate would be nice, especially when you have guests, and put out lots of toppings so everyone gets to assemble a custom pie to their tastes.

I went shelfless from the beginning; I just didn't see the need for them as I have a custom grill cart that I take out when I'm grilling or smoking.

The quality of your marriage is far more important than any pizza oven. Consider me the Dr. Phil of BBQ. I am here to help you out. Just give me your address, I will be there before your wife gets there, and I will buy it from you for $90... use the extra $3 to buy her something nice :thumb:

Get some dough or make some dough and do a pizza and I guarantee she won't say anything. Best way to surprise her. 3 hours is plenty of time.

Wish I had time.. still on the grind at work.. she'll understand when i take her to TJ Max and wait 2 hours until she's done shopping.. Good luck to anyone else looking for 1.. try using 470006525446828 for $15 off 50 at lowes

Where in SoCal did you score it at?? They're virtually out of stock.

$110.42 from Home Depot - if found that price in York pa Lowes Carlisle Road Store

I argued with Home Deport he said I had to live in that zip code - I told him I and go ahead and ship to that store. He reluctantly agreed and put the associate back on who offer to have it shipped to my home. Worth being on the phone for an hour.

Another reason to subscribe to BB Brethern!
