Winter is coming and I'll be using my Blackstone grill less. What's the best way to keep it in good cooking shape? I have the metal lid but am worried about rust. Thanks.

From what I have read, you just need to put a layer of oil on it.

Saw many suggestions of a thin layer of oil, and then a layer of wax paper - giving that a shot right now. Hope it works.

Wait for a cold day, melt some lard in a saucepan and brush on a few layers allowing it to set up between coats.

This 100% prevents any oxidation and rusting over winter time if it sit's unused.
