Looks awesome as usual, you have no doubt mastered the art of open firepit cooking.
You did it again Jeanie!!! BeautifulAnother tractor rim breakfast from my last camp trip. I make these chops pretty often when camping, they feed a crowd and I relax for the rest of the day. Everyone can fend for themselves if they are still hungry. :-D
started a skillet of fried tatoes and onions...
then the biscuits...
seasoned some pork chops, dipped in an egg/milk wash then dredged in flour...
fried til golden then moved onto the grate to catch some smoke and finish cooking...
made gravy with the drippings...
fried the eggs in butter, basting the tops with hot butter to "set" them.
flipped and rotated the biscuits til done...
that was it, breakfast
I love the addition of the smoke on these chops.
Thanks for looking!
Charles, it would be great to meet you! Thanks for the kind comment. :-DNow that's what I call breakfast!
Want to come to a li'l bash in Texas the end of May? Bet we'd have a lot more folks camping (and attending) for a breakfast like that!
Thank you Neil! I usually get plenty of help with clean up. Good to see ya! :thumb:I sure hope those you are feeding at those camp cooks take care of the clean up after all the work you do so they can eat like royalty! Another amazing feed by Jeanie. :thumb::clap:
Phu, come on out and enjoy a "MINE" by the campfire.:becky:I need to be at one of those Cowgirls' Camping Cooking Classes!
Nice work Girl!
You've got a deal! lol Thanks Greg! :biggrin1:I would do all the cleanup just for a little taste. That exact breakfast right there is a perfect beginning to a lazy day - looks fantastic Jeanie!

Grain Belt, your buddy's lifestyle sounds great. Think I wouldn't mind doing that. Thanks! :biggrin1:I have a good buddy who lives on a houseboat in the summer. He often camps at beaches with fire pits similar to Cowgirl's. He is a pretty good outdoor cook. I am sending him this link immediately!
Thank you Jason... Very kind of you to say! :becky:Yet another unbelievable meal worthy of a silver platter, served on a paper plate. :eusa_clap BRAVO! cowgirl, BRAVO!
Wow Redline, I would love deer steaks in the mix for breakfast, I need to do that. Sounds like you have a great camp! :-D Thanks for the kind comment! :becky:OMG! Cowgirl. That looks Beautiful, I mean Tasty! That looks very much like my favorite breakfast that we have cooked in "Elk Camp". Only difference is, the chops are changed out with Black-tailed deer steaks. Every thing else the same, Yummy!! :-D Jeanie, you really out did yourself on this one. Bravo! Breakfast of Champions is what I call It!!! :becky:
Wouldn't it be neat if that meal was served at The Hotel California ????
