Judged a comp last weekend, sat next to a MASTER judge. When we started to judge chicken i noticed he pulled ALL the skin off every piece and ate just the meat. After I asked him, I noticed you pulled off all the skin, why? His reply?, I do not like skin and the sauce on it......... Now to me if you do not like skin or the sauce you might NOT need to be here!!! That pissed me off
I wish there was a way to hold a judge accountable for what he does wrong, like 1 warning and then the second time cannot judge for a year or something.
As a judge I personally take my job very serious, cooks spend way to much money and time for us as judges not to give each and every one of them a fair and honest judging. Sorry, rant over :-o
