Another camp breakfast at the lake.
Got the fire going in the tractor rim...
made a batch of biscuits and put a skillet of hash browns with onions on the fire...
covered the biscuits to catch more heat...
I took some of my cold smoked Canadian bacon with me...

sliced about 1/4" thick..
gave it the flour, egg/milk bath, back into the flour treatment, then sprinkled with cracked black pepper.
then chickenfried over the fire...
let the bacon hang out over the low side of the fire to catch some smoke and keep warm, then made skillet gravy with the drippings...
fried the eggs in butter and that was pretty much it.
I split a biscuit and covered the bottom half with skillet gravy...
added fruit to make it look healthy.
The chickenfried Canadian bacon is crisp on the outside, moist and tender inside, with a nice smoke flavor from the fire. It's one of my favorites to make while camping.
I enjoyed the morning!
Sorry for so many pics but thanks for looking!
