Nothing fancy... cooked some spares while camping last week.
Started the fire in the tractor tire rim early for breakfast...
Prepped the ribs after breakfast.....went the simple route, brushed the ribs with bacon drippings then seasoned with coarse salt and cracked black pepper...
I let them hang out on the low heat side of the fire...
flipped and rotated the ribs every so often. Added a log to the fire when needed...
did some fishing while they slow smoked..
I forgot to soak some beans the night before so I had to doctor up some canned beans...
grilled the corn...
called er good.
The ribs roasted for 7 hours, came out very tender and moist. I liked them better than the last slab of campfire ribs I did but maybe I was just hungry from smelling them cook all day.
