Title pretty much sums it up, how deep are the ash pans folks are using?

Don't really have an ash pan, but I build a grate that keeps my fire elevated about 3 inches above the floor. Starting clean it will accumulate about 2 inches of ash after 15-20 hours burn time leaving a good inch or so to get clean air to the fire. My firebox in a cube with a flat floor lined with firebrick splits 1-1/4" thick.

i use the charcoal pan that came with my smoker that is used in the warmer for dedicated grilling cooks. fits perfectly under the fire basket. i think is about 2 inches deep maybe

My ash pan in the Humprey's Down East Beast is only 3/4" deep.
