A Few Crawdads

Camped out with a few friends and relatives this weekend. I was in charge of a couple of meals, this was one of them.
I couldn't find as many crawdads as I wanted so I brought more shrimp instead.

heated and seasoned the pots...

went with crab boil, cayenne, fresh squeezed lemon juice, coarse salt, onions, garlic, then smoked sausage in one pot..

gave the tatoes a head start,
next the corn...

then the crawdads,

added mushrooms...

and the shrimp...

The second pot got crab boil, salt and a bit of cayenne...

then more corn and the crab legs...

grilled the garlic bread on the tractor rim and made garlic butter...

set up the table...

The next morning...

No one wanted to cook breakfast that day so we went the easy route.

There were 17 of us on Saturday night. Some from Kansas, Oklahoma and Colorado. I didn't know everyone but it was a lot of fun.

Hi Jeanie, your cook looks very mouth watering. Reminds me of the country boils we do, although yours has more stuff in it and thats a good thing,"the more the better"
