Last night I cooked this gorgeous top eye round on my Weber rotisserie. Yep, I cooked a steak on a rotisserie with a few chunks of hickory.
BIG SHOUT TO MAD HUNKY :clap2: He was generous to send me a few samples of his Moojus and dry rib; both of which I used on this meat. The taste was...
Believe it or not, I just "discovered" a sirloin cap. I actually never heard of it before until I was watching one of the bbq cooking shows. It seems to be a very large piece of meat, which would be great for a summer bbq.
Does anyone have any experience cooking one? If so, I'd love to hear...
The bird came out amazing! Without a doubt, this was the best chicken I ever made.
36 hours of wet brine
Injected with chicken broth
Used personal dry rub
Cooked via my rotisserie attachment on my Weber with Cowboy lump charcoal
Cook time - 40 minutes
Rest for 5 minutes
I just picked up a 5-6 pound prime rib. I never cooked a prime rib before and I am looking for a few suggestions.
I own a Weber Kettle with a rotisserie add-on. I also own a Traeger Pro Series 34
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
New member here, long time lurker. Wanted to check in and thank the community for all of the content. It made moving into low and slow cooking an easier transition.
For me, going with a Pellet grill and NG grill is the perfect combo (less time messing with fuel, more time cooking and drinking)...
If you own an older model MAK 1 Star or 2 Star General, do yourself a favor and retrofit your MAK with the FlameZone. The FlameZone works as advertised & it allows your MAK to smoke at low & slow temps and grill at high temps. I've also been very impressed by how little ash it produces. MAK...
Looking back to “helping” my dad make his UDS (ugly drum smoker) I have ALWAYS loved barbecue. I was never into helping him with the hard part, but I always loved helping him not waste any of the delicious brisket/pork/chicken/turkey/etc that he smoked.
During this quarantine, I decided it...
I currently have a large BGE have recently purchased a Camp Chef vertical pellet smoker (within the last year). So far I have had to replace the meat probes, the auger fan, the main smoker Thermocouple, and the control panel with main pcb.The Camp Chef customer service has been absolutely...
I’m fairly convinced I need a Weber Summit Charcoal in my life but does anyone know if Weber plans to update it in the near future?
I realize there is not much that requires improving since Webers last a lifetime and it seems to be close to grill perfection but it’s also a first gen model that...
I'm looking to get a gas grill for quick cooks when i don't have time to set up my Egg. I've been looking at Weber Genesis and I notice that Ace Hardware has a model that is exclusive to them called the E-325. Does anyone have any information on this particular grill? It appears to be a cross of...
Hey everyone,
I am trying my first Brisket Flat, I know its not the full on Brisket but its my first time and hated to spend that kind of money to mess it up and/or have that meat for just me and my wife lol.
I will be smoking it with my WSM, and just wondered if anyone had suggestions or...
With my first smoke in the books (wings & moink balls), today 4/1/2020 I attempted my first Pork Butt.
- Bone-in Pork Butt (aprx 6lbs)
- Used 4 chunks of applewood
- Plowboy Yardbird Rub
- Mixture of apple juice & water in water pan
- Smoked fat side up (is that what y'all suggest?)
- Smoked...
If this is wrong please tell me so I can fix it , don't flag because I am curious. Going from StLouis to Grand Rapids then across Michigan to Port Huron. Looking to pick up something I need as far as parts etc. Anyone need something , I may have it? Is there any place we should stop and eat at...
Hi all. I just ordered a cast iron grill grate for my weber kettle and was wondering if I need to do anything special to keep it's condition up.
Thanks for any advice!
Hi everyone,
I'm about to buy a Spirit ii e-210. I read that flareups are well controlled on this grill. Although that's a nice feature, there are often times when I want to create controlled fire (eg. for torching the fat on the edge of steaks). For those of you who have used this model,
Are...
So I live in an apartment complex with strict no wood/charcoal rule. Electric or Propane are the only acceptable "grilling" approaches. So, fine I'll "grill" with propane while inadvertently smoking some ribs. Heh heh! Made up a few pouches of hickory/apple chips, got the old Weber Q200...
I've been getting requests for cooks on the gas grill since I started. I figure there might be a good percentage of "normal" (ie non-fanatics) looking for information on how to cook holiday meals in the gas grill. Hopefully some of them will find this helpful.
I went to 3 different stores...
I just joined the The BBQ-B. I don’t have a lot of smoking experience. I’ve playing around with smoking, mostly ribs, on my old Weber gas grill using a smoke box. Decent results on ribs but I can’t get it to cook low enough for brisket. It gets done and has a good smoke ring but I can’t let...
I am in need of a new set of flavorizer bars for my Genesis, and have decided to go with stainless. The Weber ones are a bit expensive ($70), and I found some on Amazon for quite a bit less ($40). The seller on Amazon is "Direct Store Parts", and I couldn't find any reference to them here among...
