Greetings from the Lone Star State

Hello Brethren! I've been stalking this site long enough, time to engage! I was born in MN but got to Texas as fast as I could. I thank you all for all your input and knowledge that I've quietly soaked up like a dry set of pork ribs in need of a mopping. I look forward to sharing my...

    My Weber Grates Are Rusting

Weber OneTouch (Silver?) 22.5" It's almost 7 years old which I think means I'm beyond warranty. Grates are really rusty. Tried oiling them last week. Already this rusty again. How do y'all care for your grates? Is it worth trying to restore these or should I just buy a new set (and maybe upgrade)?

Weber makes a Red Kettle – Whaaat?

I recently watched some YouTube videos by Baby Back Maniac where he reviewed the new Weber Limited Edition Red Kettle. I was immediately drawn to the red color for some reason. :becky: Since I already had a standard black kettle and I didn’t have an extra $200.00 burning a hole in my pocket I...

*Opinions* Weber Premium 22" vs. 26" Price Difference

So I've done some research on the 26" Weber Premium Kettle - not really interested in buying it, just some b.s. research - and I see that there is a lot to like about it. The size is great, and the bottom-mounted airflow and ash clean out gimmick that Weber has on the Kettles now is great, to...

In an attempt to master the smoking technique I encourage myself to make a boston butt. The only tool I have is a Weber Master-Touch 22in Charcoal Grill that my wife gave me as a gift last Christmas. So here's my adventure... + Started a night before and rubbed two boston butts with a Weber Dry...

Hey Gents, Long time lurker here. Flat top vs. Kettle top UDS

Hey everyone I have a question for those that have built a few UDSs. Between keeping the original drum lid and using the kettle lid which would you recommend and why. And to keep things easier let's assume the kettle lid fits snug on the UDS. I'm thinking the kettle lid would be better just...

    Weber Grill vs. Smoker

I've always had use of my family's 250 gallon smoker and they have recently sold it. I live in a townhouse and have been smoking on a modified ECB for my wife and son. I've been getting pretty tired of significant fluctuations in heat and having to constantly screw with the coals. It's time to...
