Trip out to see my brother and he recently got his 1st smoker a while back. He's done some standard stuff like ribs, pork butts, chicken. So was excited to get to smoke some thing together on his RecTec.

His 1st smoker was actually a Traeger from Costco, but it gave him all kinds of trouble so he ordered a RecTec and loves it. We're gonna return his Traeger together on Sunday :becky:.

To get him to try some new stuff I got beef ribs (sams) and tri tip (Costco), which are hard to find around me in GA. Also doing some thighs as he said he had trouble with chicken being dry, but all he's done is boneless breasts.

Just ribs and chicken tonight and then tri tip tomorrow. Drinking some Colorado whiskey.

It all looks great.
I would have thought that Tri-tips at 450° for an hour
would have been more well-done than that.
