Trip to Austin And The TX Fall BBQ Bash-Take A Q Tour With Me (Massive Amount Of Pics)

Great pictures, Sako! Enjoyed hanging out with you and look forward to meeting up again.

So when is the spring bash?

Neil, we have some really organized folks (I'm not one) like Hotch that are probably already looking at dates.

What a great trip! Thanks for taking us along on the adventure! Looks like you had a Texas sized amount of fun!

Great pics! Sorry you were disappointed in Blacks. I should have suggested a trip to Taylor TX (a few miles East of Austin) where there is Muellers and the one on the corner across from the courthouse whose name I can't remember.

Great post sako! Hope you can make it next year! We're planning on doing just a little more than a haul ass there head back in a couple of days. I'm planning to try and save as much vacay time as a I can and stay a little longer! I know Paul will love to have me loitering around Belton a little longer!

That was a rockin' trip and very nice pics. You just amped up my desire to attend a Texas Bash in the very near future. They are certainly some of the brethren that you definitely want to shake hands with. Glad you had a great time and travelled safely.

Totally awesome, Sako!

Color me jealous.

This would be a bucket list trip for me.

Feeling is mutual Charles. Won't be the last time for sure. :thumb:

You are probably thinking of The Taylor Cafe.

Thanks guys! Definitely a reason to come back next time and hit the rest. Want do to Taylor Cafe, Muellers, Miklethwait's up the street from Franklin and Truth in Brenham. I was literally eating brisket for brisket lunch and dinner so I left the rest for next time. Plus I'll see you fine folks again. :thumb:

Great pics of a great trip Sako. Wish I could have made it work. One of these years. For some reason I'm hungry for BBQ!

Thanks Marty! Absolutely.

Sound good Dennis! Don't forget Smitty. We (Paul, myself and Smitty) loitered around for a while everyone was pretty much gone after the bash.

Nice post Sako!! Great to meet you!
And thank you for visiting The Great State of Texas!
One day Shelly and I hope to head your way for a Bash in SOCAL.

And yes we are working on dates for the 2020 Texas BBQ Brethren Spring Bash.
I hope to have something nailed down in a week or two.
Keep a lookout on my Signature Line for the Date.
I have already started the sign-up sheet!

Wow! Whattatrip!
Thanks for sharing and it's great to hear that Franklin's is as good as the hype and that he's actually there and a cool guy!
He is in like my top 5 guys that I want to hang out and make some food with.
Right behind Sako!

WOW! That was a trip and a half of fun. Great pictures! It is too bad that you didn't hit Blacks on a good day since it is so iconic. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Terry! I'm blushing. Aaron is a super nice and humble dude. He actually apologized that he had to go almost if was it ok for him to go back in. Truly a genuine person above anything else.

Thanks Jeremy! You're not the first person saying that.

Franklin is amazing. I spoke to him briefly in line when I was there years ago. Just made a comment about being from KC and looking forward to it. He stopped by the table later and asked if it lived up to KC standards-totally blew me away.

Fantastic trip thread, it was like I was there! Haven't had a Buc-ees fix in a few months, but I'm heading to Dallas in a few weeks (want to ride down, Suds?) and Buc-ees is the official mascot of my work team.
