I haven't made this in awhile. Usually go with a sweet filling but wanted to try a savory one this time too.
For the savory, I went with home canned chorizo, one hatch chile, scallion and lots of cheese...
For the sweet, I went with a mix of cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, a pinch of salt, a pinch of cinnamon and some fresh blueberries....
Sliced and stuffed some french bread for this...
One chorizo, hatch chile stuffed and one blueberry cream cheese stuffed...
Gave them an egg, milk bath...
Onto the blackstone. I fried them in butter...
I don't like soggy french toast so I up ended them a bit for even cooking.
Knew I couldn't eat both, so I opted for the savory one.
I topped it with some of my hatch chile sauce and called er good.
I really liked this. The chorizo, hatch chiles and gooey cheese went together well..
Will make this again in the near future.
Had the sweet blueberry cream cheese one for supper...
I like it too!
Hope to make both again soon.
Thanks for looking!
