From my butcher last night. This thing is massive, 2.37 lbs. Anyways, I got home, popped it in the fridge, and went to change out of my work clothes. Its been a rough few days, so I laid down in my bed, next thing you know, I wake up and its 5 AM in the morning! I am traveling down to Mississippi today to see my Rebels play the Georgia Dawgs this weekend, and my question is this: Will this bad boy still be good when I get home, or do I need to eat her before lunch? Thank you for the input!

I don't think it'll make it, better send it to me. I'll dispose of that for you

It'll be fine. If you're worried at all, vacuum sealing it would probably help keep it fresher if you have one, but I think you'll be fine.

Well I appreciate the advice, but I thought why risk it?! Plus vacation has officially started! Will post pics haha

Haha I'm no ribeye master, we'll see how it looks before I enter it against the pros!

That is a beautiful piece of meat. It would have been fine until Sunday, but it'll be pretty damn fine right now too!

And the finished product. Thinking if I had let it cook at low temp for a bit longer it may have rendered out some of that fat. Thanks for the advice/looking!

I've let rib eyes sit wrapped in plastic 10-14 days in bottom of fridge. Oops to late. Nice cook. I
Quite often buy discounted steaks due to approaching sell buy dates, most of the time they sit a while with me. Choice and prime CAB half price tastes really good.
