I rarely see it above that price at my HD. It's perpetually on sale.

I used to be all-in on RO but the bags I have gotten lately from Walmart have been all dust and small pieces. I'm ready to move on to another brand.

That's the "new normal" price in SW FL. Not too long ago is was $15/bag at HD.

I have had an identical experience with the last bag of RO I got from wallyworld. I have 3 more bags, don't want to open them.
