Plowboys opened today, and like many people in the kansas city area, we went to try it.
The place is very nice, and smells fantastic. Service was relatively quick, especially being their first day opened and slammed.
I'll start off by reviewing the sides.
I got beans, cheesy corn, and fries. The beans and cheesy corn tasted very much like canned beans and corn. Nothing like what you get at jack stack.
The fries were good.
The meat I had pulled pork and burnt ends.... Both were FANTASTIC. I may even go as far as saying better than Jack Stack, Oklahoma Joes, and Danny Edwards. Though there isn't much meat on the sandwiches, they're great.
A definant must stop if your in Kansas City. The meat is for sure among the best anywhere around. I just hope the quality of food doesn't end up suffering from being so busy. That's what seperates the great joints (jack stack, okie joes) from the good ones ( arthur bryants and gates ).
