1200 to 4000 K from liquidators. I would not buy this off ebay. They are collected all over but I think I like the ones in Hattiesburg Miss.

After yesterday... If I can make a deal to get the old canopies, the guy that is in the picture that is covering them in red canopies to match his theme... I would get one of the ratty ones with no canvas in san antonio

Nope, gov liquidators auction, in the 2-4k range. I have seen probably 15-20 in the last year. There is another coming up for auction this monday.

Since the post where I work is the major installation in KS, that's where 95% of all the liquidation stuff comes from.

Yeah, I joined gov liquidator.

Many are listed mistakenly as M103A3... which is the go to trailer for every damn thing in the military which the MKT75---99 sits on.

I am keeping my eyes on about 28 right now within the driving distance I would want to go. Thats Ft Shelby in Hattiesburg, which have the newest ones... ones that even have gensets still on them.... a facility in Hook, Texas and one in a few ratty ones in San Antonio. I think I have a few on my watch list in Oklahoma.

What I need is a damn way to pick one up... I'd probably have to go... I can see a wheel needing attending or just need to be there... MY van will tow all around here.... but not so much a long trip like that.

I can get a raised pintle hitch so thats no big deal.

So here is my idea... one that has been bouncing around in my head since the old days when I had the funkotorium. IT is a long range plan.

I like trailers mostly cuz if the driver don't run on a trailer you can get another... borrow... have a friend drive and share some cash... rent in a pinch... but with a self driver... ur down!

Like I said it may be a plan on my old screenname, barbefunkoramaque, but I will tell it again adapted for the MKT canopy surrounded kitchen.

Imagine you are at a job and you see this tent thing set up for lunch... POPADDY'S BARBEFRYORMAQUE.... Everyone is dressed up like "Funk Soldiers" ready to serve. These things also can be at the center with a NICE camp net set high in the air for shade of the eating area.. (wow, jus found out they have bulk camo netting in purple... not that I'd go that far).

So you go up... you have a meal of ... i don't know... deep fried bbq ribs and chicken and sweet tater fries or something.....

Next time ..... a SIMILAR one pulls up... the name POPDADDY'S BarbeFunkoramaque..... serving basic bbq dishes.... maybe a vault is needed on it... maybe cambroed in....

Now the kicker is... MOST food is made in a common commissary.... BUT THEY CYCLE BETWEEN FOUR OTHER SITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So while the local clientele all get something different each day... they STILL get the quality branding Popdaddy is known for... or will be. The word of mouth is... I had some sweet sticky Asian thang last time but can't wait for that Soul Food Kitchen to get here on Thursday.

The last element is .... the commissary is the communications center for any take out orders place and paid for through social media. In this way each trailer has a dedicate office crew pushing sales (the old days faxing menus used to work) to get orders rolling as the crew tends to the trailer.

That is the ultimate termination of the project. Right now I would like one or two. One for a kitchen... another for sanitation.

As my wife drives me crazy watching True Tori (rEality about Tori Spelling and how she is making her husband miserable after he stuck his fatty into another well.... oh my God I am going crazy listening to the whining from them both.... she doesn't see it and I am like THEY ARE FARKING ACTORS THAT NO ONE WANTS TO SEE IN ANYTHING SO THIS IS WHY THERE IS SO MUCH DRAMA!!!!!

Okay... so here is the update. I watched about 16 or so MKTs in Hattiesburg (The best ones, often with gensets... some with even only 9 hours on them), San Antonio (the rattiest ones), Hook Texas and Fort Sill, OK.

All sold for under 3 Gs... most sold between 15 and 18K... about a third of that sold for under 1K with the cheapest at 620.

Then I noticed something peculiar that I had been watching. ALL MIGRATED THEIR CODES TO DEMILITARIZED AND THUS NEEDED A EUC or End Use Certificate. So while NONE said that before (which made me happy) they all go into that status after they are won.

Bad thing is.... your first EUC cannot be filed ahead of time before you win and the first takes between 45 days and 60 days (second and subsequent are faster provide you don't move or change your phone or something)

This literally means that your property sits there the entire time... while you wait and there is not guarantee you will pass... like if you screw up and put N/A in a block they kick it back and the process starts again.

This depresses the HELL outta me.

Journal entry 5-8-2014 Lusitania day

Good Morning... still depressed about the EUC thing and there is no way to get around it other than bid/win and wait. Everyone else did so that's what I am gonna have to do.

Two things are in my way now... one may be easier now that I have to wait.

One is picking the sum bitch up wherever it ends up being.... the other is....you don't get an "invoice" until they approve you EUC... which is 60 days... then you have ten days to get the ****.

The other "HOPE" is will that guy that bought six of the damn things.... and removed nicely the perfectly fine GREEN canopies, fly nettings and foul weather tarps in order to have RED copies made by a local upholster place--- will give or sell them to me?

Let's say he doesn't or the price is too high - Now that last part is kinda cool... the local upholsterer he uses has made six sets of identical canopies.... he has the patterns. I know the guy too. HE HAS THE PATTERNS STILL!!!!!!!

Also the guy has gutted the gear in most of them... wrapped them in pallets and stored them... thus I might be able to get whatever is missing on the one that I may buy... I was going to pay a high dollar for one with everything but feel more comfortable not having my money sitting on a base waiting 60 days to see if I can even get it.


This guy stripped down gear and stored it... little of it will he use because he is doing his own thang and has access to the best gear.
