OK, waited for some of the dust to settle, then signed up for Imgur. I uploaded a test pic, but I can't seem to find the correct way to link the image so it shows up without clicking on a link. When I select the HTML option (the only one that doesn't show up as a link) it shows the code, and not the pic? Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance...

No worries, me too.
I've yet to commit to a hosting site. Just can't stomach the thought of starting all over with all those albums and photos I had.
I'm a noob to Facebook, but have noticed that those photos transfer to forums very easily.
That being said, I don't want every odd photo I decide to post on a forum to be in my FB account either.

Please read the first post in the thread. Unless you are a paid subscriber to Photobucket, your pictures will not show up in your posts! Please choose another photo hosting service!

Somehow my pictures are still showing up here, and I didn't have a paid account.

Looked at Google and Flickr. Seem way too complicated. Just signed up for Imgur. Looks good so far.

Looked at Google and Flickr. Seem way too complicated. Just signed up for Imgur. Looks good so far.

If you had any of the paid accounts from Photobucket (and renewed by June 1), you have until the end of 2018 before you need to upgrade to the $400 plan or loose the 3rd party hosting ability.

Give it a few hours. Now that PB monitors new connections coming to your count from a third party it won't be long!!

I can get imgur to work but am having trouble saving to folders for organizing. I use my phone almost exclusively and want a better way to sort through my bbq pron, roof pics and cat memes

I've yet to sign up anywhere. Turns out, Facebook does a good enough job of hosting.
Although, I've yet to spend the time to figure out if there's a way to store my photos there, show them here (and other forums) and not have them be on my timeline.

not sure if its been posted and i'm not scanning 24 pages for it but there is a chrome extension that appears to fix the issue at least for now so you could retrieve pictures from old threads or whatever if necessary. Since installing it I have had zero issues with being greeted by the paid photobucket image in any threads.
