Okay folks, here’s some initial photos and thoughts.
Please note there will be plenty more photos to follow
Let’s start with the delivery.
Delivered within 10’ of its final resting spot and you can see by how these are strapped down the care that is taken during the delivery phase.
I highly recommend Legendary Services Group LLC, these are the folks recommended by Shirley Fab to deliver their products and I can see why.
At last!
The empty spot in the BBQ shack has been filled
It was late last night when it arrived, so I did an initial burn in just to set the paint at about 150F. (Yes this smoker will run at that temp and lower it appears)
This morning I woke up and it is time to do biscuit test and official first cook with two fatties
One seasoned with Q-Salt the other with New Mexico Spice Blend
Now let’s look this thing over a bit
3 racks made it expanded metal and framed with thick steel
Beautiful fire basket with heavy duty ash tray
Check out the size of the daisy wheel.
It’s not gonna starve for air, that’s for sure
I got the SS shelf add on, it’s pricy, but the shelf itself must weigh 30 lbs. it’s as well built as the rest of the smoker
Weld porn and grommet for temp probe
There’s even lube zerks on the door hinges!
Smoking!!
