I have a 55 gal drum UDS/007 and wondering/hoping two birds can be fit on a spit kneck to butt and spun over the live fire.

Question is will two 12 pounders fit. My spit rod is a onegrill 1/2 hex and a nice 13 watt motor.

Looking forward to the responses.

I believe the diameter is about the same as a 22” Weber kettle? If so, I don’t think you’ll get two turkeys on there. Two large chickens is tight. I generally rotisserie a 13-14 lb bird on my 22” rotisserie and there’s not a lot of extra room.

Here is something else to consider. If the birds do fit on the rotisserie, will the motor and gears be able to handle 24 lbs of weight? I am not familiar with rotisseries and their capabilities so that is why I am asking this question. (At least I didn't claim I was asking for a friend...........)
