1/2 Stone For 1/2 Direct - 1/2 Indirect?

No one? I like the direct side / indirect side for grilling things like chicken thighs

I don't use the half moon stone, but I do use a half moon shallow pan to do the same thing. It works well.

I thought I'd open this up one last time before I plunge. I haven't seen any similar items online on the usual aftermarket supply places, which seems odd given the utility of the 1/2 Direct 1/2 Indirect approach

Sorry, I missed this. Yes. I have the Adjustable Rig from The Ceramic Grill Store (http://www.ceramicgrillstore.com/big-green-egg-large-adjustable-rig.html) and put the rig on top of the stock grate, put the pan on the grate and a half-moon grid on top of the rig above the pan

I also am just learning with the adjustable rig. I didn't buy the half's yet..
Kamado Joe makes a similar rig as well it should fit in the green eggs as well.

I need to get something like this. I got the half moon griddle thinking I could use it for indirect, but it turns out that thing gets really hot. I guess that's why they call it a griddle...
