I'm sure most people go with hickory, but has anyone else had great results with any other types or combinations of wood?

I use Pecan a lot for my kielbasa and Andouille. Summer sausage too.

I have been using alder for years, mainly because I can get all the chips I want from the local Weyerhauser mill for free.
