Chuck roll question

When you find chuck roast in the grocery store, they are cut against the grain, and usually 2-5 lbs.
I love smoking check roasts.
What are your thoughts on cutting a whold chuck roll with the grain, so it could be sliced against the grain after cooking, more like brisket?
Thoughts?

I've done quite a few of them. Really with chuck rolls (roasts) you can't go wrong either way in my opinion. Just cook them till they're tender and I don't think it makes that much of difference which way you slice them......

They're like brisket in that there's no specific pulling temp. The meat will tell you when it's ready....
