Babbling Farker
Took on a pretty ambitious cook, and it was FUN:-D.
The menu was;
Chicken yakisoba
Fried rice
Ginger pork and mushrooms
Potstickers
The Yakisoba;
The fried rice;
The Potstickers;
The potstickers were the only thing I could assemble ahead of time, all the rest would come together on the griddle.
The Gingered Pork;
I wasn't really sure how the timing was going to work out, I just knew that once I got started, it all needed to come together pretty quickly. Here are some shots of the lay out;
My settings on the griddle; I had the 2 far left burners on medium heat, the third burner on low, and the far right burner off, using the far right as a "holding area".
Started with the Yakisoba noodles, I wanted to get them heating a little, and get a little caramelization on the noodles. Then I moved the noodles to the holding area and went on to the fried rice;
I moved the rice to the holding area and went on to finish the Yakisoba;
Moved that aside and started the ginger pork;
The potstickers were last, as they cook very quickly;
covered and steamed;
The finished dishes;
And a plate shot;
The wife said it was incredible, And I thought it all came out real, real good, but in my opinion I have a few tweaks to make, but I'm real close to what I'm looking for. I was quite happy with the results.
Thanks for looking all, sorry for such a lengthy post.
