Thank you for the kind comments everyone! The neighbor's chuck was pretty good. The breed has the same characteristics as my black angus as far as the meat goes, but the red are supposedly easier to keep....gentle to handle. Maybe I should switch! :grin:

Looks great! I made my first beer bread a couple of days ago,a but it came out kinda brickish. How did you make that?

Thank you Pitbull! Sometimes mine come out too dense too. I like to add a pinch or two of extra baking powder to get a better rise out of the loaf.
