Got her back from the sandblaster today, they did a great job. I was pleased with what was underneath the surface rust and gunk inside - it looks like a new cooker.

It was very fair especially given the thoroughness - did the underside, and even removed the wheels as best I can tell and blasted the inside of the wheel wells too. Definitely going to be some ‘que headed their way once she’s up and running :thumb:

I’ve never sandblasted anything, or had anything sandblasted, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Whatever my expectations were, they were exceeded :becky:

Well since i am around sandblasting all the time at the refinery.... That's called a white metal blast job.... they did a excellent job!!!!!you will not get that from a home sandblaster. Period!!!! When painting it but a thin basecoat.... then a couple more coats and you will be god to go!~!!!!

I was going to say it looks just like the sandblasted Cookers that Paul shows in the Shirley shop before painting, you beat me to it. Given what it looked like “before”, they did an excellent job.
Bet it will look brand new when done, especially with those Whitewalls mounted on Red Wheels.

I got the wheels delivered and had the tires mounted and balanced. Can’t wait to get these put on after I paint it.
