Refurb of the Mighty Weber Gasser. (on going)

Thanks, I have both and should have used them. Thought about it but for the amount of time I had to spend could not do it.

Maybe when I retire I'll go back into it.

Cool. Someone over at Tvwbb clued me in on it and I just kind of thought it was not worth the expense. Some time later I finally broke down and got a $14 grinder at HF when I started another refurb. When it took me less than 30 mins to get it clean and shiny, I really wished I had taken the advice sooner. Can't even begin to count the hours wasted scraping cook boxes by hand.

Anyways, it'll make your life easier in 14 years or so when it's time to do this one again.

When our Weber finally gave it up, we went to replace it but ended up with a kamado grill instead. but for about $180 and a bunch of elbow grease, I got the gasser back up and cooking!

Filled with junk!

Cleaned up!

I'm sure it could just be a matter of opinion to some. However the grill grates were designed to be used with the pointy side down. They're made to cook with the flat side up. Its more surface area for the food to come into contact with.

Everything else is in very good shape.
