My UDS in Progress

Looks great! I liked the character of the raw patina, but the nice paint job is more...civilized.

It was better painted or my wife would insist it be on the other side of the yard. :razz:

Everybody knows if you're gonna cook on a 55 gal. barrel in the front yard, it must be black.

I had actually painted it flat black but ran out of black paint about 1/2 way thru. Used some green stove bright I had in the garage. I am sure it will need repainting in the future. Is metallic or pearl black an acceptable color?
 
First Real Cook - Spare Ribs

Today was my first real cook for eating - spare ribs. Lots to learn and thanks to all those folks who participated in the Mother of All UDS thread for the great information.
