Thursday was Canada Day and since we're in the middle of an intense heat wave, we decided to do a Stampede Style breakfast instead of an afternoon BBQ. Because it's so dry and hot, BC has banned all fires so our plans to do the cook over the fire pit, we had to adjust and cook on the BBQ. Bacon, maple sausage, funeral potatoes, scrambled eggs and pancakes were on the menu. It was an early start to get everything ready, but it turned out great.

Then Friday night I made sourdough french bread as the wife wanted to make Garlic bread pepperoni pizza for dinner. Turned out fantastic.

To finish off the weekend, we made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner last night.

Overall it was a pretty satisfying weekend.

Dang, Dean! Everything there looked fantastic, but that breakfast stampede cook is what really gets my attention. I will bet it gets it's name because everyone comes running when you say that breakfast is ready. Glad you had a nice weekend in spite of the extreme heat.
