Hi,

Some of you might remember this from last Easter or Thanksgiving, but we (Long Island BBQ folk) will be making Thanksgiving meals for families who have a member dealing with breast cancer.

As you can imagine, trying to prepare a holiday meal for a family while coping with the impact of cancer can be an arduous task.

We could use your help.

Here's how it usually works (we've done this a few times now):

Someone volunteers to make one item (multiple people per item is fine), whatever that happens to be. Potatoes, turkeys, yams, gravy, etc.

They let us know how much of that item that they will make.

They bring that item to a designated members home.

We group things into separate family meals (1 turkey, a quart of potatoes, a pint of gravy, etc.) and box them up.

Volunteers from the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition come by, pick up the boxes and bring them to the families in need.

If you could lend a hand, it would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Eric

We have a Facebook page for the event.

We could definitely use some more help.

Just search in Facebook for BBCC Thanksgiving. It's an open group, so anyone should be able to see it.

This is a great cause and really brings home what we should be thankful for.

Eric

It looks like we might need two more turkeys.

If anyone can lend a hand, we would appreciate it.

We need them for Wednesday the 26th by 5pm.

Thanks!

Eric

Eric, did the turkeys get covered?
Let me know how how I can lend a hand.
Will look for the FB page tonight.
