My son's cub scout pack had a camp out this weekend where they learned skills from the older boy scouts (oops, can't call it boy scouts anymore... Scouting BSA) including things like first aid, fire building, campfire cooking, knots & lashings, etc. All good stuff for them to learn. Kind of a wet, rainy weekend but regardless a great time was had, lots of learning experiences, and even a couple things that would be relevant to this group.
For breakfast they made pre-packaged cinnamon rolls in dutch ovens
A few pics from around camp
Escargot anyone?
For dinner it was hobo chicken packets on the coals. Chicken tenderloins, potatoes, carrots and onions.
I almost forgot to get a picture of the finished product and the chicken had been mostly eaten when I did...
We did manage to get a little sun, just before leaving Sunday morning
Thanks for looking!
