Saw the Cornish Game Hen throwdown and thought I would give it a shot.
I have never had a game hen, but heard it tastes like chicken, so I went with a cranberry/orange/ginger flavor profile.

I trimmed up the hens and tied the legs.

Then dropped them into a cranberry/orange/ginger marinade for a few hours.

Out of the marinade, pat dry, applied some salt and pepper, and stuffed the cavity with a few cranberries and a slice of orange.

While the grill came up to temp (425) I let the hens warm up and prepared a roasting bed of onion, red potatoes, sweet potatoes, oranges, fresh ginger, and cranberries

Birds on the roasting bed and placed on the grill

After about 90 minutes, with some basting, here was the final product

The final product was very tasting and incredibly moist :clap2: Not sure if it was my cooking or if game hens are naturally moist? But I plan to try these little birds again in the future.
