They are pretty expensive now. They were expensive when I bought mine when they were about 1500 less. It's a hell of a pit, though.

I feel like by the time Franklin pits finally hit the market, better pits were already on the scene - Mill Scale 94, Fat Stack 120 etc. Definitely not an easy business to be in.

Metal prices have gone ridiculous like everything else. I'm sure it's impacted peoples discretionary spending.

Exactly. That's my biggest issue with these super expensive patio smokers.

Exactly. That's my biggest issue with these super expensive patio smokers.

Also I am very handy with tools so when I can build something just as good that is more than double the size for half cost and get it 8-12mnths quicker it tough pill swallow to buy something new

With that being said I do understand why people buy these as they are very good

Maybe summer of 2023? I heard a few weeks back from some future owners who paid the down payment to get on the waiting list still don't have an ETA on production or where the production site will actually be. That could have changed in the last few weeks though.
