First fatty, for breakfast sandwich

A few years of cooking on my pit I never done a fatty. My son loves breakfast sandwiches, so decided to do a fatty for his sandwich.

Got my OK Joe warming up.


While my pit is warming up got my fatty rubbed with Melissa's basic rib rub and resting.


On to the pit


Half way through


Done and wrapped while everything else is getting ready.


Eggs cooked waiting for cheese


Eggs done and stove off, cheese added and covered.


Fatty sliced while cheese is melting, not bad for first time


Cheese melted now ready to make sandwich


Sandwich made and devoured by my son in a couple of minutes

Nice, COS!

I often make an extra fatty and keep it wrapped up in the fridge for just such occasions on the weekend. I like to quickly brown a couple of slices just for a little texture before the assembly.

Thanks. My son loves my breakfast sandwich. He ask for it every weekend. Just thought I would do something extra and different for him.

You are making lifetime memories for your son there brother. My daughters are all grown up now but they won't eat BBQ or fried fish anywhere but at daddy's house. :becky:
