The whole point of Armenian bbq is simplicity. You can add to but the base ingredients are salt, pepper, paprika or any sweet red pepper powder and thinly sliced onions. Mix and let it marinate for 3 hours or even overnight. Skewer, grill and serve. The whole cooking process is 15-20 mins over live fire. The key is to taste the meat and not mask/overpower it with a bunch of ingredients where you don't taste the meat. Sometimes people think I'm holding out and don't believe me when I say those are the only spices I've used.

Depending on how I feel, I'll add, oregano or a little oil. Sometimes with beef and lamb I'll add a little Worcestershire sauce and mineral water (a touch) to tenderize it and make it juicier.
 
Interesting, thanks for the video link. Looks like it would take some steady hands, from start to finish.
