Just hoping that someone can post the results of the North Carolina Barbecue Society (a.k.a. Jim Early) contest from Cary this past weekend.
Any information on who all competed would be appreciated as well.

George, I know you competed, any comments?

Don't remember all of the standings other than we didn't place!

GC was Prime
RGC was Fatheads (members here and they were flying their banner)

Luckily we didn't get hit too bad with rain during the comp. Stopped raining around 7pm friday and was dry for turn ins and long enough to pack up. Awards were at 3 on saturday and the sky opened up at 2:50. Couldn't have been happier when they called all of the teams on stage for the awards. Shelter is a good thing!

Overall I think this year was one of the better run years. They provided containers for hot coals and Jim was much shorter during the cooks meeting (its relative). Even had the Daisy Duke girls come by and take pictures with all of the teams.

As far as our turn ins went, we really thought we had better stuff than last year and we placed 2nd in pork and 4th in chicken last year. Oh well.

They don't provide the standings/scores at the event. Just call out top 4 in each. They email everyone's scores later. When I get the spreadsheet I'll post full results.

I am interested to see the scores. This was only the second time of competing for me and the wife. We made some mistakes but we learned a lot as well!

We were My Cousin Piggy for this event.

Jim - I think you may have been next to me. We were on the top part of the parking lot and had the grey/gold Yukon XL. We were using 2 drums for the comp.

yes I do believe that you were right next to us! Thanks for the tips you gave us. you at least gave us a clue as to what the judges expected in the box. It really altered our game plan and our preplanned box design turn in. We originally planned to put a couple different types of meat (chopped, pulled and etc) in the box. We didn't know ahead of time you could only turn in 1 type.
