Knows what a fatty is.
Picked up some pork shoulder (butt) boneless ribs at walmart 1.58lb. Basically a boston butt sliced into rib strips. Wifey is pregnant and not into traditional bbq, but sweet asian ribs sounded good to her so BAM its smokin time.
1pm- Fired up the Akorn with cowboy lump and sugar maple chunks
1:30- Up to temp and brown sugar rubbed ribs are on.
2pm- Chugging along at 260

3pm- akorn settled down to 248.. almost time to sauce and finish off
3:45pm - Basted and sauced ribs... looking good.. 245 pit temp
5:15pm - pulled off, tender and juicy. sweet asiain goodness.
Plan on smoking for 2hrs, then coating in asian sauce and finishing off in the smoker for an hour or so. Served with wok seared mixed veggies and corn bread.
Asian Sauce for sweet Asian ribs
1/2 Cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1/2 Tbl Spoon Five Spice
1 Tbl Spoon Sesame seeds
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Honey
2 Dashes Ginger
1 Teaspoon of Chopped Garlic
2 Tbl Spoon of Sriracha
