After approximately 12 years of faithful service the Vermont Castings gasser has been set by the dumpster. I removed the porcelain enamel cast iron grates and they are going to be wrapped in foil and used as a redneck deflector system on my NBBD. The VC blue porcelain outside still looked good but the internals are shot. I would rather go with a new two burner Weber for quick meat and veggie searing than rehab this one. Puts me down to Six cookers in use on the patio for just the bride and I--I think. Wait I've got a a Jumbo Joe in the box somewhere, and a new Cobb Cooker, and a made in USA Camp Chef. And a BGE mini.

Oh WTF- I'm still addicted.

By the time I had used the leaf blower, came inside to make a phone call, in less than an hour an alley dweller had made off with the Vermont Castings. Maybe for the castors?? Maybe better than what they had?? Who knows.
