I picked up a nice looking certified angus beef branded tri tip on yellow tag special and decided to try using a bottle of Simply Marvelous Santa Maria seasoning on it.
All seasoned up:
Setup the Primo XL for an indirect reverse sear cook and hit the tri tip with some smoke with a handful of hickory wood chips.
I had a Berkshire pork tenderloin and some chicken breast grillers stuffed with cheese I was also cooking.
Time for some direct heat to crust things up
All done
The doneness was just about right for me
Really enjoyed this seasoning - it's one I received as part of a Brethren Throw Down win and I hadn't really used it yet. It has the traditional Santa Maria style flavor profile you expect, the herbs and flavor from the rosemary was present but not overpowering. I'll definitely be using it again in the future :clap2:
