Had B Team match again tonight so between that, work and shopping for a new welder my fab day was cut short. Still got plenty done today.

I was able to finish all welding on false wall, front of smoker, and insulate and plate the bottom of the smoker.

Excited for the new welder as this will greatly speed up the time I am spending on this and in the future. Not only am I saving time, but the welds are much better on this machine..money well spent.....

Not finished for the day, but taking a break to go have dinner with the kids.

Its getting heavy enough that I need to put it on wheels. So I spent some time today designing how the steering and wheels are going on. More of it is insulated and skinned too. I have been sanding to a nice finish along the way as well.

Im waiting for my heims to show up on Saturday to finish off the steering.

Got the extra panel welded up, and the rear wheels mounted up. I need to throw a brace and gusset on it like the front. Its a roller now though!!

And loving the new welder, it lays down super nice beads

That's looking great Shane!! You do nice work! Looking forward to seeing the Chain Smoker in action.

What no double wishbone???? :loco:

If that thing cooks half as good as it's going to look, that will be one bad arse pit, awesome build. :thumb:

really like the wheel design. that should give the cooker a lot of stability when moving it around. moving mine around on casters is easy on smooth concrete. any other surface feels like an accident waiting to happen.
