Luckily for me, that's pretty much how my wife sees it. I'm home and making tasty food for her, so she's happy. And it's cheaper than a boat!

That's me in the summer!:thumb:
I'm a teacher so I'm home experimenting and he gets fed. Along with the all of his friends because I make too much.
I home brew too so he gets a win-win.

Wow, people here have a LOT of different cookers. With 163 voters, there are 688 cooking units selected or an average of 4.22 cookers per voter. Sadly, I'm below average with just 2. I guess I could have selected "other" too to account for my propane fired turkey fryer, but alas I'd still be below average.

So far it looks like 96 people have voted. Thanks and keep it going! The top 5 at this time are:

Kettle type 67.71%
Gas grill 55.21%
Offset smoker 48.96%
Bullet type 29.17%
Griddle 28.13%

The excitement continues to build in this political season. With a total of 191 people participating in the poll so far I am pleased to list the top 10 most owned cookers as reported by our voting members. Of note is that the Kamado has overtaken the Griddle for 5th place. The rest of the top 5 are unchanged. If you have not yet voted I urge you to do your civic duty. This is America after all! (Oops, we have members all around the world so please disregard the previous sentence, unless of course you live in America and then you can disregard this sentence.)

Kettle type 60.21%
Gas grill 52.36%
Offset smoker 42.93%
Bullet type 29.32%
Kamado style 28.80%
Griddle 25.65%
Homemade UDS 21.47%
Cabinet smoker 20.94%
Pellet smoker 16.23%
Electric smoker 13.61%

pretty much in line with conventional thinking. I think the griddle is just a bonus category as I doubt anyone on this site is here with a griddle as their only cooker.

kind of surprised at how low pellet cookers are on the list.

For the record, it's 4.22 cooker TYPES per voter. I personally own multiple cookers of multiple types - 4 drums, 3 pellet smokers, etc..

I currently have 4 cookers, but thankfully the offset will be traveling to a new home in a couple weeks and I am selling the bullet to a friend cheap so she can get into smoking...
