Barry, if you will go back through the above posts, when you throw out the folks that think insulated looks"cool" etc. you will find that the majority is from the north. I don't have a Shirley, but I do have an offset with a 3/8" FB. I find it to be great at holding temps for here in SC. Good luck, Joe
