Moved into new home in June 2015. I've been wanting an outdoor entertainment area for quite some time. The house has a huge porch in the back, but the room got taken by my sweetheart's desire for a hot tub. Okay, I wanted one too. Anyway, we decided to just do it and get the kitchen ready for spring cooking.

Dug up a 12 by 18 foot area for the slab.

Sorry for the sideways picture.
You can see the stub outs for the water and electric supply in addition to the sink drain.
The pergola is rough cedar 8 by 8 posts with 2 by 12 runners and 2 by 10 tops.

The bar is 11.5 feet long on the 18 foot long side. There is 14 feet on the inside of the 8x8's to fit all of my cookers behind the bar. We put concrete tops on both the bar and the kitchen counter.

The cabinet is also in rough cedar but a lighter color. We have the lights installed and going to put the doors and drawers on the cabinet this week. We will finish it up with flagstone at the end of the week hopefully.

That's looking sweet so far. I hardly hang out in the house ever since I built mine. Needless to say that you're going to love it.

Looks real nice. That's a good friend you got there.

Yea, but you have that nice California weather. No wonder! :-D

Lol True but we do get the unbearable cold nights of mid 30's time to time. :becky: :peep: I still hang out in the back.

Really nice work, like the concrete tops are you going to stain them?
