The images below are from BBQ guys design service. I'm looking for feedback especially from those that have outdoor kitchens.

I am planning on getting a Napoleon prestige pro 825, kamado joe big joe, dual/single/power burner (not sure which one yet), sink, fridge.

By code I can't have the grills against the house. Also, my side yard is 30x37 feet and I will probably have another seating area separate from the kitchen.

My concerns:
1. is there enough space next to the Napoleon. I have space in the corners but not sure if I need a little more linear space next to the grill. Is the corner space usable?

2. I've never had a power burner before and on my current freestanding grill use the side burner for sauces or quick saute but no big crab boils or anything. Am I missing out by not having one?

3. Is the seating behind the burner and kamado a concern. Again, I'm going to have a separate seating area as well with a table.

Thanks!

A few thoughts.
1. Having the Joe exposed on 2 sides would make me a bit nervous. More a concern about people accidentally running into it more than it falling over. I think it looks really cool that way though.
2. The placement of the power burner looks like it might be a bit awkward. Personally I'd rather have it closer to the Joe or next to the sink if possible.

Just some random thoughts

UNCMo96: Holy schniekies! That's a very nice looking set up! That Napoleon grill looks incredible! Envious of your design.

The space that you have available isn't huge in terms of overall travel, so I don't believe you'll likely have issues with work flow. It's only a step of so between the grill and the sink or the Kamodo and the fridge.

The one thing that you may want to consider (and it sounds like you are) is the amount of effective counter workspace. You may want to consider sliding the sink closer to the side nearest the back patio doors. Moving the sink closer to the patio doors will provide more prep/open counter space and easy transition space to and from the grill.

RE: Power burner. Sorry, can't offer any advice except to say that I've never used one in my back yard. With the spacing pictured above, will that be enough space between the Napoleon and the power burner for a big pot if you do decide to do a crab feast or New England boil??

Good luck!

Thanks! I suspect I'll keep the counter space as is. I went outside and started measuring with the wife. I'm working with a 30x37 foot space. We're planning on a hot tub, and a firepit/seating area so I'm only allowed 10x10 for the kitchen by the wife so it doesn't dominate the backyard. I do like the idea of switching the sink and the fridge.

I'll probably ditch the power burner and just go with a lower profile normal burner since I haven't had one all these years. This will also give me a few more inches of counter space.

I agree with flipping the sink and the fridge. It's still close enough to remain useful, and the counter gains should be worth it.

Personally, I'd center the burner over the doors, as being off to one side would start to trigger me. And, that would give a bit more space to set platters on that side of the grill without having to reach for them
